Favorite Social Media Platforms, and Why #MFRWauthor #Bloghop

Hello, everyone! Welcome to Week 20 of the MFRW Author Blog's 52-Week Blog Challenge . This week, our topic is: My Favorite Social Media Platforms, and Why . *sigh... The most fun I tend to derive from these posts is creating the Banners for them. LOL IF Social Media worked the way I think that it should, I would be enamored of them all. However, all social media networks cater to the wealthy, the affluent, the successful, and the almighty popular people. Just like it works with people in real life. If Social Media sites worked in an inclusive manner FOR ALL, I would choose them all, but they don't and do not work for me. Goal-setters probably love Social Media and strive to gain recognition there, so I commend those types, believe me. For me, it is like whipping a dead horse, but that is because I am (currently) a nobody without a following. My content is seen by no one and easily lost among the more prominent, popular, and successful among us, so ...

Ten - It's a Family Affair #MFRWauthor #BlogHop

Hello, and welcome to Week 10 of the MFRW Author Blog's 52-Week Blog Challenge . This week, our Challenge questions is: Things Only My Family Would Understand If this is supposed to be about me, then I'm afraid you will be disappointed because even as old as I am, I have NO IDEA what others think of me other than I'm odd, weird, ridiculous, and the black sheep of the family. Sorry to have to sound really BORING this week (maybe every week?), but in our family, we've continued to live by the What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas motto. You won't be reading any juicy, insider gossip meant to make your toes curl or your cheeks flame because that just isn't in my (our) DNA. As a matter of fact, when I returned to college for the second time, I was already moved back in with Ma after she'd had her heart attack, and I had to leave my place 'up north' to take care of her, so I thought why not try (again) to get that stupid deg...

The Thought Bubble Never Pops #MFRWauthor

Hello, again. Sorry about missing last week's challenge (Favorite Novel Quotes) AND not being able to read or comment on the posts from the week before! I don't know what happened, but not only couldn't I open the MFRW Author Blog page to find the links, the links refused to appear on my blog, so I had no way of joining the hop and was very upset. Last week's challenge was not something I would have been able to participate in since I'm not one to quote anything... because I can't remember what "I" said ten minutes ago, much less what I read ten years or months or hours ago. MY total recall is along the photographic line; not the literary. My son can watch a movie ONCE and then verbatim quote it for years after, leaving his mother in awe of such a skillful talent! And here's me, trying to remember the movie title and who starred. What I recall most from both books and movies that I truly enjoyed is the setting that evolved in my ...

MFRW.org 52-Week Blog Challenge Hello, again, and welcome back to another episode of the MFRWauthor 52-Week Blog Challenge . It's Week 24, and this time we're asked to Choose/Describe our LAST MEAL. I'll begin with an irreverent shot at the blog's title for this week's challenge and say I suspect that EVERYONE will partake of a Last Meal prior to their departure from this world, eh? They just won't know it in most cases. Then I'll include something maudlin and recall my father's last day on this planet (a week ago +30 some yrs). With this being Father's Day Weekend here in the USA (MX, UK, and CA), it has its place. It was a strange day for sure, and he behaved too abnormal for my comfort or keener instincts. He had made a big stink about the night's meal, insisting that the whole family be there to help him partake of none other than carry-out from his favorite Chinese restaurant. We were a grown family of six, each wit...
